Dr. Charles Calomiris is a leading financial economist specializing in banking, corporate finance, and financial history. He earned his B.A. from Yale and Ph.D. from Stanford and served as the Henry Kaufman Professor at Columbia Business School. A Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution and a Fellow at the Manhattan Institute, he has advised institutions like the Federal Reserve and U.S. Congress. His acclaimed book Fragile By Design won the 2015 American Publishers Award. Dr. Calomiris’s research and policy contributions continue to shape the understanding of financial systems worldwide.
